16 tss sport. I have a set of ome Dakars to put on the rears. Will the 5100's be long enough?

2nd I'm going with 5100 adjustables all the way up. Stock wheels 275's I think. Can I go without UCA's?

This is a work truck btw. Lots of miles everyday.

Does this mean 5100's in the rear along with the dakars ?
Does this mean upper control arms in the rear are not needed . I thought UCA's were only in the front ?

NO! UCA's are a VERY important part of the suspension. You cannot drive it without UCA's, there would be nothing to hold the wheels in place.

    Thanks and thanks.

I'll put the UCAS back on. I thought the front end was awful sloppy all of a sudden.

I get it now . I think he means he does not need to replace the rear upper control arms when putting on 5100's in the rear .

Wait what? You removed and kept your upper control arms off the truck and proceeded to drive?

Yes 5100s in the rear with dakars

UCA's are only upfront. I meant aftermarket arms to correct for alignment

It's pretty simple what he asking.

He wants to know if 5100s in the rear are long enough to be used with his Dakar leafs.

He wants to know if he needs to upgrade his UCAs with 5100s set to the max in the front.

I meant this post is a mess from what other people posted and then he posted about leaving the UCA off. I dont know his personal experience with suspension so who really knows if that was a joke or not lol

Can you get by with stock uca's...yes. Is it recommended...no. If money is a issue just save for a little bit longer. I'd rather pay for one install and alignment than two.

It was a joke dude. Jesus. This will be the 4th Tacoma ive lifted myself. My problem on the 12 I had was all the rear shocks I tried were to short and I blew them out prematurely. Also dakars.

If you go with 3rd gen 5100 and add a front coil for lift then I do believe the answer would be NO.

I guess I , was the cause of all the confusion . I though OP was only adding shocks and dakar springs in the rear .He said it was a work truck , I thought his rear may be sagging because of tools job materials or what not , so he wanted to beef up the rear . I have been considering doing this my self . I have never lifted a truck and am not real familiar this what all needs to be done. Sorry for screwing it all up .
