Used it to pick up 3 nice ribeye steaks, a pound of Gouda, half pound pepper jack, half pound cheddar, some cream of mushroom soup, a pound of bacon, and 2 pounds pasta. Can't forget the log of sour dough for home made bread crumb. Home made mac and cheese and steaks all going in the smoker soon. Food coma!

Myne did something similar. While on the highway I'd accelerate to switch lanes and it would downshift than stay in that lower gear up to 5k rpm. I than switch to sport mode quick to make it shift. That was the only issue other than the normal weird shifting. By weird I mean, like driving to the end of my drive way wich isn't to fare it would shift through all gears

I know. I never go there. Finally got it back though. Guess the guy had it done and when he took it for a test drive it got all whacked again? Idk

Sounds like they're jerking you around. I hate that about places, always seem to just beat around the brush. It'd be nice if places would just do what need's to be done and then send you on your merry way.

well, 2 hrs total time at the dealer for the update to be done, oh they also fixed the air pressure in my tires. I took the same route home today that i drive to and from work. She definitely shifted sooner instead of "holding" on to the gear for what seemed to be longer then needed to me. hopefully it solved my "issue". I'll have to keep an eye on it and look for it to see if its still there.

IMG_5148-2.jpg Leveled him up today with 3rd Gen Bilstein 5100"s all around. Set the fronts to 1.1 inch , middle setting. Almost perfectly level and rides better too! Stock springs all around!

Installed the OEM Audio plus 450. Install took about 7 hours and was pretty straight forward. The quality and clarity of the music is amazing! Im very happy so far.

That's strange cause myne was in aND out in like 30 minutes. Also it's seems like each truck has similar but dif issues. Cause u said yours takes longer to shift from each gear, myne went threw gears to fast than always down shifts cause it starts bogging down. Or (chugging feeling) and it would stay bogged until I push the gas.. it's weird. I always described it as ,driving to the end of my drive way. Wich is only 100 ' it's already in 6th gear and bogged out. I've gotten use to it but it still bothers me at times.. hope they figure out a way to fix it for good. I test drive a 17 sr5 the other day and the tyranny shifted perfectly. Like any new vehicle should

Mine took 30 min and shifts faster in 1 and 2 gear which was slow before update.

What you're experiencing definitely isn't right! You'd like to think that all new rigs would drive perfect right off the lot. All of them seem to have there own kinks. At work there are two other guys that have 2016 Tacoma's, an OR Access cab and a Sport. Mines been the most Problem free out of the three. Overall I still love my truck and glad that i bought her! Hopefully you can get yours all sorted out and running like the champ it should!

I was hoping for a better turn around time. I didn't think that it would take 2 hr's to update the transmission and let a little air out of my tires. I took Lil Red in to the dealer last Saturday as well for the 15k service and I was there for 1.5 hrs for that. least she's out of the dealer till 20K miles. I imagine at that point i'll spend another 2hrs there again.

I wasn't all that concerned with the grill before I bought it, and started looking at them after. Initially on the lot I was happier with the big chrome over the SR5. I think at a glance it's attractive enough but with close examination most other grills look better than plastic chrome. If some dude copied the OR grill with real chrome I bet it would look real good.

I'm not a huge fan of plastidip so I would prefer the SR5 version but there's no doubt in my mind I'm going to buy a grill from customcargrills.com...

I do think it was one thing that toyota dropped the ball on . They didn t think it would be looked at much but it is the grill is one of the first mod I did to my truck. I can t figuire out what they were thinking evan on the Limited. So far its only the Pro that has a decent looking design.
