Haven't fixed it because I remember it being a pain to fix the first time. Anyway still looks a little greasy but yeah the boot is toast. Will I get a warning from the CV before it blows apart. Like do they start grinding before they go bad? I would like to wait till summer to fix this.

My truck had a burst boot for like 3 years and there was no visible damage to cv. I replaced with a spare cv anyways

I suggest you buy an offbrand replacement for $80, no core refund, and send your OEM axle to that place everyone loves which I can't recall ATM and have them rebuild it with high angle boots.

Replacing a cv axle is far easier than a boot. In fact, replacing the axle is a prerequisite to replacing the boot! I've never done it myself but have never had anyone recommend I replace the boot instead of the whole axle.

No mods yet that's why Im signing up to talk to yall to see what to order.
I busted my boots 3 years ago too and now my front end is shaking. But only around 15mph and 60mph, I'm guessing it's time for new CV axles.
