It's great. The current power supply is at it's max from a 120V outlet. But to get the most out of it, I'd need a 210V supply. Right now I don't need it. Just wanted the option to power up if I ever needed.

Haven't done FPV, the XL still isn't complete. Been too busy, and wanted to fix up the truck before anything else. But I'm painfully reminded every day when I see the Xl sitting on the shelf. The Xmaxx was on my list before the Yeti, but I went with the Yeti because it had some time on the market. At the time, the Xmaxx was just being introduced, and a lot of people were having problems with it. So I wanted to avoid any major headaches, and let Traxxas fix the problems first. It's a BIG ASS truck, bigger than the Yeti XL even.

These cars are just getting more and more powerful, it's crazy. To have a toy the size of a medium dog, doing 70mph is scary. My Slash has been out of commission as well, flew into a brick wall at 70+ exploded into several pieces. haha

The yellow one is 100% scratch using a set of plans.

I hope you didn't pay too much for the maxamps, those lipos are generally way over priced. Otherwise glad you found what you needed!!!

Ah ok so those use the same shocks as many of the other Traxxas trucks. I have had good luck with Traxxas Big Bore aluminum shocks - I run them on my E-Maxx, my crawler and have also had them on a T-Maxx and never bent or broke one. I bash pretty hard so that should be a testament.

On the other hand if your looking for something with more beef have you considered upgrading to some sort of buggy or truggy shock? Ofna Supershocks or something similar. It looks like the Telluride is a 4 shock setup from a picture I saw of it.

Progressive rate springs and a proper oil setup will help a lot, along with maybe getting some upgraded shock towers to help reduce flex.

The big bores I believe have an upgrade shaft you can get for them made out of Titanium or something to that affect which I am not personally 100% sold on Titanium, I used Ti push rods on my Revo and they have yet to break but they will bend just the same as any other metal. The one difference I have noticed with Ti is you can manipulate it back to straight, though on a shock shaft that wouldn't work too well.

I don't know what shocks you have used to date but I would imagine the Big Bores would be better than anything so far. Just make sure you get the correct length shocks for each corner. The shocks I run on my Revo are Golden Horizon aluminum shocks, I have never had an issue with those but also the Revo shock setup is easy on them since they are not subject to side to side bends. Also I think GH has kind of died off in the past few years :/

    - Proline looks to make a nice replacement shock but at a price too.
    - Losi Ten T shocks are able to be used and I imagine you might could find those cheaper.
    - On the Traxxas BB shocks, check eBay. That is where I have gotten mine in the past and usually you can find good deals.

So I've been lurking in this thread for a little while now because I am interested in getting a new R/C. My last one was a Losi JRX-T and a Clod Buster. I am not ready to buy now, but probably in a month or two. I don't want to spend a ton of cash, which I'm sure I'll inevitably do because I have a difficult time leaving well enough alone. Currently I'm debating between the Axial Deadbolt RTR for $300, or the RC4WD TrailFinder 2 RTR with the Toyota body of course for $460. And I'll need batteries and a charger too. The Deadbolt looks like it will do what I want, which is mostly goofing off. But the TF2 has the look I prefer. I know if I get the Deadbolt, I'll be upgrading some plastic to metal, and that will start to even out the cost.
Is the TF2 worth the extra cash?
Why do you prefer one over the other?

The Deadbolt will be way more capable than the Trailfinder as the the TF2 is a scaler by nature. Smaller tires and less articulation due to the leaf springs. Depends mainly on what you want.
