You must have derogatory marks on your employee screening report. They don't get a score. You must also give the employer consent which you don't have to do. Additionally some states have restricted employee screening reports.

One again they employers don't get a score. They get a brief credit history report and it's nothing close to what financial institutions receive. Their reports are to show derogatory marks for irresponsibility. Sounds like you had some.

Nope, highly valued as an employee, they told me it was because I had crap credit, which I did.

You can only have bad credit from derogatory remarks. Again, they dont get a score, they see credit history. So if they said you had bad credit it was because you were missing payments or had collection agencies after you.

A person with no credit history and no derogatory remarks starts out with fair credit. If it goes down it's because you are messing up.

A year ago my wife had no credit score or history, she is almost at 800 with just having a basic charge card.

Credit score, credit history, 6 or half dozen. The fact of the matter is MBNA did not hire me and they told me it was due to my poor credit. How they got that, how they decided, I don't know, and it really doesn't freaking matter. So there is truth to the issue that your credit score means more than just getting a good interest rate on a loan.

You are still not getting it. I just told you employers dont get a score, yet you are trying to argue..

Credit history is only important if you mess up, just like your score. If you dont mess up then you dont have anything to worry about.

    All taken from your link:

For example, Christopher Desbarres is president of Help Unlimited, which helps individuals manage their personal finances, and says his company checks all prospective employee's reports because of the nature of the business -- intimately dealing with other people's cash and accounts.

he Human Resource Management report found that most organizations focus on credit history of four to seven years overall.

Truth: Your checkered credit history may be ignored.

Truth: Employers pull reports to protect themselves.

I did have a candidate with multiple foreclosures and a string of late payments," says Osborn. "Over a period of time, it represented a series of poor decisions and lack of judgment. That did concern me, and ultimately we did not extend an offer."

So, I once again state, Your Credit History/Report is important for more than just getting a good rate on a loan.

are you freaking on crack today man.

no my words were not exactly the same, but certainly close enough that they mean the same.

This started when I stated that my poor credit (NOT EXACT WORDS) cost me a job.
Then I was told that not so.
I came back and stated something to the effect of, it happened to me.
    Was told nope.

I have better things to do than go back in forth with this.

Read my post man, the fact that you dont know the difference between credit score, credit report, credit history and employee screening reports shows exactly why you are wrong. I quoted what you said, you said SCORE everytime.

You are convinced of your own ignorance and bias and refuse to learn anything.

Shoot I wouldn't hire you either, they certainly dodged a bullet.

Then don't. Save us all from your bad info anyway.

I pay $496.03 a month for my Tacoma TRD off road double cab 4X4 auto trans that had an OTD price of $37k. Put $10k down and financed $27k over 60 months at 3.9% interest rate. This was my second auto loan since I leased a vehicle prior to this one. I'm 23 years old so my credit history is only 4 years long.
Boy, Dave Ramsey will have a heart attack with all of us buying $40k pickup trucks and financing them as he says "if you didn't pay cash, you couldn't afford it" Lol.

Life is short that is why I pulled the trigger and bought this truck. I have no student loan debt and no credit card debt and I am saving $1000 a month. I've been saving for many years and have 6 months of my salary sitting in savings so why not live life and buy something you want.
