    Have I reviewed "Pour Taproom?" ?

    This is a place that opened in Santa Cruz last year. I've stopped in there 2-3 times, solo, to have a beer and a bite.

    They use wristband RFID, and have a wall of 70 self-serve taps. When you show up, you swipe your credit card, they give you a red rubber wristband.

    Each tap has a touch screen. you grab a glass, read about the beer on the touchscreen, swipe your wristband and pour as much as you like, they measure it to 0.1 ounce. the beer is fairly expensive by the pint, but I realized most of my pours there are 4-8 ounce. There is an endless supply of clean beer goblets.

    they have a nice little kitchen, small menu, a bit pricey. you place your order at a window and swipe your band, they give you a number on a stick for your table, then bring you your food. the couple things I tried on my two visits were quite tasty

    when you leave, you swipe your credit card again, and hand them your band, kaching.

    conclusion? upscale place to hang for a bit. some level of expensive, but I do rather like the do-it-myself smaller pours. they had a lot of beer styles I don't personally like, but there were still 20 I'd drink, out of the 70. the couple things I ate were /really/ good. they have some good craft dry ciders, and wines, too, for those so inclined.
