I made a 5 gallon bucket water lint catcher thing. Has 1-1/4 vent holes but dryer blows at water in bucket to catch lint. Gives heat inside and moist air when it's cold out. Works out nice. Wife likes it soooooo.....

Scooter, that movie (A Monster Calls) was very good, worth theater money, but I have to warn you, it's a real tear jerker. I did not expect such an emotional story.

    made me laugh.

    slacker

... What's that smell? ... Kinda like a smokey fart :puke:

Who left the TV on Monty Python?

    exactly

Those Outbacks are the state car of Alaska. Seriously, my carpool buddy's wife commutes by herself and puts about 40,000 miles a year on; she runs them up to 230,000 miles or so, then sells them for $2000 to $3000 and buys another. Of the 4 you mention (Outback/Forester/CR-V/RAV4), unless you really want the small SUV feel, I'd get the Outback and never think twice.

I've started giving my coins to the young airmen and NCOs in the squadron (the ones who impress me) when they get orders and PCS from us. My favorite Colonel/Commander gave me a silver plated Alaska Coin when he presided over my retirement ceremony; that's the one I carry now.

How old were you, if you don't mind saying?

    NOT it!

    Still NOT it!

    :sorry:

Perfect! @Cypherian run with this idea.

The Subaru seems popular in Virginia also. I can see why with the weather and mountains. Down here just the tree huggers have them

They're definitely the favorite ride of the tree hugger. No doubt about that.

Forgot to say about my dryer is that it's electric. By no means should a gas dryer vent indoors at all ever.
    Just had to say...

Gonna see if I can find anything on TV worth watching. Rest up Kevin, Cypher ... I'll check back later.

At least the snow from last night is light fluff again....and easy on the back. Leaf blower will make short work of it. Balmy 18 out.

They sold a pile of them in Northern New England back in the 70's and 80's. It was the right car for people wanting 4WD, but didn't want a truck. Nobody else really offered anything like it back then. I used to see them in some pretty out of the way places in Vermont back in the day.

It's more expensive than a corolla so we went with another corolla . I like that it has a front end being in deer country. Wife drives the wheels off of anything and corolla has stood up to it so far.

We've had a few. Wifey's car is currently a 2010 Forrester turbo - definitely a sleeper. I've found there are three types that drive Subies: elderly, go fast kids, hippies (Bernie sticker as standard equipment). Wife isn't fond of me saying; "Are we taking the lesbian limo today?"...

After the house is paid off we are going to get a new vehicle so we will be back up to 3 again.
There have been many instances where car repairs would have been a severe issue if not for the other ride. We have friends that have subies and they like them. I'm 99 % sure we are getting a corolla because of my familiarity. it doesn't hurt to look into them though.

    Oh yea
I have a big headache this morning.
I think it might be because of all the 50 dollar words I used last night. I don't do it very often but I kinda went for it and now I'm paying the price.

    Have a great Sunday.
