I have a switch in mine, but have left it in override position for extended period of time and have not seen a difference except for the capability to use the previously locked out functions. You can easily make this permanent without a switch by simply cutting or removing the 17 wire from the harness.

I am not saying that it will not affect anything else. I just havent noticed anything yet.

If you remove the wire, you can always put it back or add a switch if there ends up being some negative affect in the future.

This will help. As viewed from the back side of the HU end of harness.

For the reverse camera you need to feed 12v to pin 2. Cut the wire to pin 2. Solder diode between the leads (striped end of diode toward HU). Then connect switched 12v source to the HU side of the diode.

The aux video input is on pins 13,14. You can cut off the female end of RCA cable. The shield wire goes to pin 14. The signal wire goes to pin 13.

Aux audio can also be wired of desired. L+ audio signal on 28, R+ on 26. The shielding from both audio cables should be tied together and connected on pin 27.

I believe (but not tested) that the aux jack on the usb block is tied to these inputs, so if you leave the factory harness side of these inputs disconnected, the aux jack will not work.

Also, I have read that the aux video will not work while the vehicle is in motion unless the SPD lockout override is done.

From my reading of the FSM, this is correct. Those two audio wires go to the AUX/USB assembly.

Is it possible to purchase one of these already modified so that we can use it immediately? Another words, I have a 2015 and want to add this so that I can use the GPS while moving (remove speed lock out). Are you willing to mod the harness so that it is ready to plug and play once purchased? If I understand your previous posts, the buyer has to add either a switch or diode in order to get this desired effect correct? Thanks up front!

Do you have a suggestion for a specific SPST switch to attach to wire #17 and not mount?

In addition, if a description of the OEM switches in terms of size is available could you please advise. Many thanks. Looking forward to receiving my new harness as I see it has been shipped.

I believe the ECO map will no longer work. Nav may not work properly either.

OK, I suppose I am supposed to know this, but what is the ECO map? Also while I am at it has any software/hardware gurus hacked the head-unit to get away from the OEM limitations i.e.. map updates only from Toyota and putting them on the memory stick for database updates? Thanks
