Bad day at Pismo today. As some of you might be familiar, pismo beach dunes are set up in 2 ways, dunes parallel with the beach are drop offs, dunes perpendicular are rollers. We were cruising perpendicular about 20mph rolling dunes and getting a feel for the new paddles and suspension settings when suddenly there was a 12 foot drop off. We went end over end, crushing the cage around my helmet. My gf is only 5 ft tall, and she had nothing to brace herself against and bounced around the cab during the roll over. It took some time to get off the beach but the end result is she joined the club, fractured t-4 through t-7, I got a little luckier (if you could call it that) with fully breaking the rib that I cracked 2 weeks ago and might have ruptured a kidney (pissing blood, CT scans scheduled for tomorrow).

End result for the yxz is looking like it's totaled. Doors don't close and they swing off the frame so it's looking like a bent frame, destroyed instrument cluster where my hand went through it, obviously the cage is toast, rear plastics and all supporting brackets are done, surprisingly it drives straight-ish though. Taking an assessment tomorrow and getting in touch with insurance. Taking off all adventures for a while (unfortunately this means no joshua tree which she and I were REALLY looking forward to)

Anyways just bitching really, drove home for 4 hours hating life but in one piece. Deuces muchachos.

Glad to hear you walked away from it. That's the most important.
Pismo got me too when I was young and dumb. Hit a dropped off like you and ended up breaking my scapula and when I impacted on my handlebars and broke my chin piece on my helmet. To this day, 13 years later, it hurts to wear a backpack or put anything over my left shoulder. Wishing you guys a speedy recovery. Take it easy the next couple of weeks.

I saw @stvstoy nearly barrel roll down the side of a dune. But he handled it. At a distance it looked gnarly af

Nah, as soon as it started to feel sketchy, we got the heck out of dodge. Could've ended badly if I wasn't paying attention.

Sorry to hear this, do not like reading things like this on this forum. I have been in this spot. I snapped 4-5-6&7, among other things.

Luck you 2 are still alive:amen:

The razor can be fixed and upgraded if you choose.
Charitys(my wife) bro did the same shit and now has over 35,000 ontop of sale price of his rhino.
The thing is super sick, it is safe but it's just that much more dangerous.

Glad you guys are still here
