I think we need to stay round or oval on this one. I can see people already asking for state shapes, etc.

This. They already have 38mm and 40mm brass round blanks. A custom shape means custom everything.

I have two favor style coins I've liked over the years. One being of a bottle opener. You the other being the shape of a country, state, or unit mascot/insignia.

I'm still thinking a simple pic of each generation would be great. I know there will be more generations, and we can tackle that later, but the world will know the early adopters cuz we got the cool first run of coins. Here's kinda what's in my head. My head is, of course, better at thinking of these than my hands are at drawing them...

I think the overall design should be simple and convey a message. Here's my take on this, since the coin is to represent what the site encompasses, how about the coin being a generic OR/agressive type tire on the edge front and back.

On one side we have "tacomaworld.com" rounded on the top, "Tacoma owners and enthusiasts" rounded on the bottom in their respective fonts, with "est xxxx" in the center. (Not sure when the site was created.

On the reverse we have a TRD wheel with the year 2017 slightly below center representing the year the coin was minted.

    Just my $0.02

    Maybe?

Still haven't thought about the other side. Any design will need the official TW logo font from @tcBob in my opinion.
