I've had an eye injury in the past, and it hurt. But I cannot imagine what something like you're going through feels like.

Yeah it started a while ago, water coming from under the toilet. Replaced the old ring and the supply line. Next day more water. Added a second ring, still leaking. Found the new supply line hose, cheap plastic, had a pinhole leak. Fixed that but now the water won't always flush all the way down. Cleared the vent and the drain but I think it might be the second wax ring that I didn't need.
Went to the store and got another ring, found the senior discount is for 55 years and older, $3.15 for the wax ring. Mixed feelings about getting a senior discount.

Sounds like a fun Sunday afternoon project !!!

As for senior discounts , I rarely get any discount and actually have to ask the clerk / cashier for one

If it makes you feel any better, those discounts usually take care of the tax. Military discounts are usually the same percentage. So I want to find the stores that offer both and be able to use them and get an actual discount.

Yea if you add more than one, wipe them together to make a solid one and mold them outward to help prevent them from getting squashed inward. Latex gloves help. I usually only did this where a flange is buried below a tile floor or wood etc.
There are those new rubber ones I've seen at supply houses that I like but bosses don't like sliced bread yet :D
Never skimp on supply lines, buy the best braided one you can find. Have seen way too many flooded houses from cheap supply lines.

That never bothered me as bad as people fighting. I was always afraid of a bullet coming through the ceiling/floor.

Thank all yall for the well wishes. I hope none of yall have to go thru this. We all have our own aches and pains but this is a good one. Don't know if it was preventable but still going for shot next week. Hopefully insurance helps me out on this.

Andy, take a 5 gallon bucket of water and dump in bowl. If it flushes you need a toilet. If not then you need closet auger to clear wax.
It's an old trade tip to show people toilets don't last forever. They have a lifespan too and there's good and bad ones.

@Kolunatic Kevin, what's it look like outside down your way? I haven't seen the sun in a couple of days and it's been a fog bank here since last night. Thought I was supposed to be getting some rain coming from your neck of the woods.
