Cause Pandora uses data? Idk

 

It uses practically no data lol. I only have 6gigs a month and I never go over, even on months I have to drive for very long periods of time.

 

They are always running promotions. I get in on one every year when I renew.

I would use Spotify before Pandora tho

But XM has all my current stuff and sports/news also

 

Some of us are old school and have no data. Have nav in the truck for the few times I need it, internet at home, text via my old school flip phone. So far I can't justify the $50+ more a month just to have data. However I expect the world will eventually force me to catch up some day.

 

We travel quite a bit and it is annoying as hell having to keep finding new radio stations. Cell phone reception also get spotty in some of the places so pandora and spotify cut out. I'm going to try with the SiriusXm trial and see if it can maintain reception out there. If so then its worth it for the $30 for 6 months.

 

And that's for both rides? I pay $22 a month just for mine but I also have all access which includes Internet streaming also.

Wow that's a good deal, I pay over double that for 6 months by paying monthly.

Because there's a lot more than just music. You can't get stuff like Nascar radio, Howard Stern or the sports channels on Pandora. Besides you're still paying for it by paying for you data plan & if you have no signal you have no Pandora, you always have satellite unless you're sitting somewhere that obstructs the antenna.

 

But you're just going to end up spending that much just to have radio in one car? That's so weird to me but I guess to each their own...

And it's not "just data" I can navi, my garmin is basically obsolete with google maps, I get my music, and I can TW wherever I want

 

Sprint FTW, no data limit.... if you have service.

 

I use YouTube for music, or just listen to NPR for despair.

 

I'm sure it's different for the two of us but I travel a lot to GA & the Florida panhandle & I never lose my XM signal. I change channels cause I want to. Haha

 

hm, I guess it would be useful when you're out in the boonies, but that's only a few times a year, and I don't care about sports or Howard stern. Does Chad not get no service at the mall he likes to crawl?

 

When Sirius cost me full price I pull the plug. I've done it for years. My old GPS actually has it built in and I used to use it everywhere. The interface is atrocious.

I don't TW without a keyboard. A real 102 key keyboard. 'Cus I'd suck at touch keyboards. And since it's my truck and I'm paying for it I get the benefit. One of the biggest benfits is that I like watching CNBC in the morning then listening to it on my way to work. I also like the electronic/chill station. MsWalla likes the blues station and when we travel we like listening to the classic rock stations.

However, once things threaten full price I'll go back the the 128 GB USB stick with 6K songs on it. Until I score another deal on Sirius

 

Oh, and boonies are profound here with major suckage on the local "music" stations. The only good one is in Santa Fe and I can't get it.

 

I hate all the local channels, they constantly play the same crap every hour, I like my NASCAR radio, I like Stern in the am & I travel a lot during hunting season so it's worth it to me. My radio does have Pandora on it & I use it occasionally. As for Navi I have a Garmin with lifetime maps so it's never obsolete & my radio also has Garmin navigation which I hardly use cause I'm not paying for the update. Haha

 

I got unlimited data with at&t by bundling it with Direct TV but like you said if you have service. Around here having service isn't a problem but it is when traveling.

 

I mean, you don't wanna use it if you're going on a road trip what not. I use the hell out of Pandora when I'm in town lol

 

Yep never lost reception and I've been down some back ass roads on the way back from Jacksonville over the summer lol
