Snowpocolypse

Going to be super gnarly when it all melts...

 

yeah..... and my Tacoma is still at the dealership in Wilsonville. I hope this Scion floats, come Tuesday!

 

A lot of standard vehicles with highway radial tires that are no match for the conditions. Rush hour now lasts all day. A snow storm hits in the afternoon and everyone leaves work all at once only to hit a snowpocolypse head on. about 1/4 of them have moved here in that last 5 years, often from more temperate states. we can only hope that next year they will purchase an extra set of wheels with traction tires out of sheer fear. On your side of the state, winter doesn't "visit" every few years, it's an annual resident.

 

Just blame it on all the Californian's moving north

 

Outside my home town (Newport) way up a tree off the 101 was a sign someone put up that said "CALIFORNIANS GO HOME "

Made me smile every time I drove past it

But this is a weather event that the Portland area hasn't seen in 20 years. The city itself isn't prepared for it.

 

Arctic blast in Dec. '08 wasn't that long ago, that was a fun one up there..

 

We had more snow in 08

 

I saw first hand how butt fucked the Metro was today and if you sir are doing your daily driving on those streets in a PeeRunner you're ok in my book.
