Just a heads up, since you live in CO. I did the AP flip kit w/Timbrens back in November. The Timbren mounts already rusted solid.

The black paint on the mounts just flaked off. The hole in the Timbren just collected saltwater from the roads. It was always full and I was always cleaning them out. I think that helped promote the rust.

I took them off, sanded, primed, and painted them. Then I flipped the Timbrens upside down and put the mount back on.

I think this is how I want to mount mine. Did it require any extra hardware?

Did you paint the mounting plates?

Nope. I used the same bolt, just flipped it upside down. I had to sand the rust off and repaint the Timbren mounts. The All Pro flip kit had rust on the nuts, but that's it.

Edit: There was a little rust on the AP flip kit, so I clarified. Added pic.

I like the dog platform. Have you seen those hammocks for pets? They go from head rest to head rest. That's what I use. And they have a Velcro hole for the seat belts and I've recently started putting a kids car seat in the back seat with the hammock and it works great to contain their mess and their toys.

Have a dog hammock like that. Our GSD just gets on the side and crawls underneath it to sleep, making certain to grind every possible loose hair into the seat upholstery.

Did the drip irrigation tubing inside my dr and pass door weather stripping, hoping that eliminates the "kazoo" sound at highway speeds with heavy crosswinds. Didn't take pictures. I did take some pictures of my new drawer setup, I'm trying to get it setup where it is interchangeable based on what I will be doing at the time, camping, shooting, road tripping or just daily driving. Went to HF and picked up some metal sliding socket rails and just screwed em to some scrap 1" wood I have laying around, that way I can just take them out and set them up on my work bench if I need them at home.

    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
Washed the road salt off of it and detailed the interior, also installed my remote start.

Lift by the frame to let the axle droop. Then tighten up.
