this is true, the bumper will affect it. But not THAT much.

Frankenstein gets better then 80miles out of a half tank....usually.

Have you seen how his hoops stick out? Kinda like butterfly wings in the front of the vehicle with holes that spread the airflow to the sides and not "with" the vehicle.

This is what I mean. The obstruction of the hoops push the air to the sides shown by the red arrows. I think the yellow depict a better scenario for better aerodynamics

I've had the bumper for quite a while. I actually got the best MPG I've ever gotten with it on.

No offense but I highly doubt that. Adding that in any instance would not increase your mpgs. Reassess that hypothesis after you take a college physics course.

It only happened once, I drop 300 miles on the highway. I usually only get 250

How many miles have you racked up on your pickup Ben? Seems like that damn truck has been in just about every state.

Even so it wouldn't be due to your bumper. Over stock, the bumper wouldn't act as a positive factor on mpgs. Getting 300 would've been because of a driving habit or the type of fuel.

I was just saying I happened to get the best I've gotten and I happened to have the bumper.

:facepalm:But it's not because of it. That's my argument. You could've drove more conservatively or in younger terms "like a grandma"

I understand what you're saying, I wasn't ever meaning that because my bumper is the way it is is the reason I got 300. I was just saying that I got 300 while I had the bumper. I don't think my bumper would cause my mpg to decreasethe amount it has.

But in a logical world, it wouldn't increase it, no?

Lol I made my point. Back to the Cowboys game.

My fuel economy took a big hit when I put the lift on and new front end (95-97). The 98-00 front end is more aerodynamic.

I read once that in some places it is legal to flush it down the toilet, just not down the storm drain.

I have never done it. Out local landfill recycles coolant, oil, paint etc. for free.

I've took a hit recently but I think it's due to the O2 sensor being loose. Used to be anywhere between 18-20 and now im around 16 or so
