    That looks good!

So it's a 3" lift up front and 1" in the back?

That's not a spacer or plate (I assume you are talking about the blue-puck-shaped area with the [KING off road racing] decal printed on it, directly above the reservoir hose and silver threaded area?) that is a part of the original design of this shock, and is a normal part of its shape, thus not a spacer or block.

I'm back in Toyota (1st was a '84 1Ton, loved that truck) after many years in Jeeps. Since I've been away for Toyota's many, many years, have no experience with the Tacoma so I cannot speak to any of the Tacoma specific kits. However, I can speak to the brands following my experience with Jeeps. OME makes quality springs. Bilstien makes a quality shock. The high-end Fox offerings (I'm talking rebuilable shocks) are quality. Fox's entry level components, at least in the Jeep world, you are paying more for the name than the part. I'm not saying they are bad, but there are other options available that are as good and better for less cheddar.

I've combined OME and Bilstien on Jeeps and loved the result. If I lift my new Tacoma, I will likely go with an OME/Bilstien combo again.

I will echo this; avoid blocks on leafs. Avoid AAL. From my experience an AAL is generally not much better than blocks (although I'm seeing what appears to be better options/designs in this regard for the Tacoma than there are for Jeeps). I have no experience with spacers. I was never foolish enough to try them.

I don't want to argue with you , that's not my intent here but yesterday and today I talked to 4 different very reputable tire shops , 2 of them big chain nation wide tire shops and the other 2 local shops that lift and deal with trucks that compete on a very high off roading level .
All of them agreed that a "a small lift" with spacers it's completely fine.
They all agreed that spacers are " bad "for extreme off roading but they said that spacers are perfectly fine for city driving as long as you don't put anything over 2" in the front and over 1" in the back.
They all showed me trucks that have spacers , some trucks with over 150000 miles and no issues at all.
Again I'm not trying to argue here just stating my experience and conversations with the lift pros around here .
    Edit: I'm very confused !
So many people against spacers and some others are not.
    Fuck my life !

interesting reading guess im thinking pretty stupidly about a spacer lift then again im not running Baja like robby Gordon or running king of the hammers like Shannon campell by the way I didn't spend 35k I spent a tad under 27k unfortunately I do myself do a lot on a budget my 1st gen went over 176k with spacers and 32s till I had the coin for a ok to moderate complete lift that's the way I have to do things in stages ,mortgage ,kids in college, etc unfortunately I will over time spend a little more in parts etc. while having a great time working on my truck guess im one of the stupid members

Ok guys. I decided on third gen 5100 fronts with 887 coils. For the rear I currently have a 2" block I can use from readylift with the 5100s or I can spend 100$ on a AAL. Which do you guys recommend for little to no true off roading. More ground clearance gains and getting me to the ski resort. So to recap: spend 0 use 2" readylift, or spend 100$ and get single AAL. GO!

Was this for sale on CL about 5-7 months ago? I was looking at this and remember seeing it listed. Not for sale anymore? Such a nice set up

Just installed 5100's with 887's. Went with headstrong 3 leaf AAL in the rear w/out the over
load leaf. Got 1.5 lift in the back with this setup. Rides like stock, maybe better.

No pics yet. I'll post pics after the new wheels/tires come in. Going with 285/70/17. Wheels will be 17x8.5 +6 offset.

I believe it says 2'' at the top because it is for a 05-15 taco. 16 and 17 tacos are already 1'' higher than a second gen hence it only lifting the front of a 16-17 taco 1'' from stock equaling a total of 2'' giving you room for 1 more inch until the suspension is pretty maxed out needing more money for more parts and mods.
