I have the exact same remote start! Love it, no issues and I've had it about a year.

Yeah, no kidding, well if it does get "shaken" a bit, atleast it will be contained to each compartment so hopefully it won't be a complete disaster

The original post #17579 page 5397 had the picture of my truck, it was also quoted in post #107581 and #107587. If you want more/other pictures let me know what you want to see.

I'd like to take credit, but I pretty much stole the idea myself but instead of devil horns for the badge, I blacked it out. But you know...imitation and flattery and all that. :blahblah:

    That makes it easy. Thanks.

    I wasn't being a smart-ass.

    BTW... we're only at Post 10,700 +.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT: Found the f*cker. Nice truck! The two-tone black/tan interior is odd, as we didn't have that option up here in Canada.

OK, so now that the youngest is asleep, and the wife is putting the oldest to sleep, and likely already fell asleep with him, here is a better write up about the LED light bar while it's all still fresh in my head.

So I got the light bar from @AZBACKCOUNTRY who was selling it. Got it in on Friday. Not being much of a handy person myself, especially when it comes to running wires and stuff like that, I asked my pops for help, who is an electrician. Being Portuguese, that also involved asking my father in law for help. We like to do shit like that in groups because it makes for a good time with all the BS and shit.

Sorry, don't have pics for some things because I was helping my pops do it, so would be kinda awkward to take pics during that. So here goes.

It's a 20" OKLED light bar. Came with the wiring harness, the mounting brackets, and the switch.
    20170113_220311.jpg 20170113_220347.jpg 20170113_220428.jpg

I mounted it on my bull bar. Used the mounting brackets that it came with, but used different screws to hold it in because my dad said/thought the ones it came with would probably be too hard to screw on since you could get inside the "tube" to hold it while tightening it. The light bar is not exactly posited in the middle because my two "helpers" measured wrong, so it's a bit off. We didn't want to fix it because we were afraid that by doing that, the new holes would kinda make the ones we had already drilled bigger, so we left it. It's not off by much, so whatever! I ran the wires from the bar through one of the holes that were plugged with a rubber cap. Then made a cut on the rubber so that the wire would be held by it, and not be rubbing against the metal, so it would tear it up.
    20170115_165141.jpg 20170115_204014.jpg

No pics for this part, sorry. The black and red wires on the relay were cut a bit short. We were able to pop out the (I think it's called this) pig tail that's clipped into the relay for the red wire, so we could solder the wire harness wire to it. Then we clipped it back in place. For the black wire, it had a bit left on it, so we didn't have to take that pig tail out, and were able to solder the black wire to it. Then we heat shrink wrapped each wire, just in case.

I ran the wires underneath the bull bar and up into the engine bay(have to zip tie this to some place tomorrow to hold it and hide them). Zip tied the excess wire and tucked it in the corner, under the battery tray. Connected the positive to the battery bolt, and connected the ground to where the battery ground is connected (side of the engine bay). For the relay, we used a small self tapping screw and bolted it to the side wall as well. The fuse "hangs" between the battery and the external fuse box, nice and tucked in that gap.
    20170115_203741.jpg 20170115_203800.jpg 20170115_203809.jpg

Since the wire has the switch and it's connected with a plug, in order to get the wires into the cabin, we cut them and them fed them through the rubber grommet. We cut the wire for the switch, on the pc that comes from the relay, since that's the longest wire. The wire that has the switch on the end isn't long enough to cut and pass through the grommet. So to connect them inside the cabin, switch wire form the relay to the wire from the switch, my pops used "wire boots".
    20170115_203826.jpg 20170115_203837.jpg 20170115_203858.jpg

For the switch, since I already bought a CH4X4 switch and am waiting for it to come in, I popped out my dash (sorry, no pics but I'm sure you have all seem them from when peeps paint their gauge cluster rings, since they have to remove the dash to get to them) so I could pop out the existing blank next to the OEM fog switch. I fed the switch wire through there, through the back, and made it come out by were all those wires are, in the lower left corner by the foot rest. The switch I bought is a push switch, so once I get that I'll cut the wire and connect the switch. Sorry these pics aren't very good... it's cramped for space down there with the pedals and the steering wheel above your head.
    20170115_175158.jpg 20170115_204034.jpg 20170115_204140.jpg 20170115_204150.jpg

Since the truck is in my garage, this is a shitty pic of just the light bar on, against my garage door.
    20170115_204251.jpg

Happy with the way it all came out so far. Can't wait for the switch to come in, to finish it all up!

The "0" got left out between the 1 and 7, and after looking my self the post count is over 100,597 and counting. I didn't know if you missed the post with pic because it was on previous page, glad you found it. The two tone interior was part of the package I believe, at least the tan leather was and it works for me

    Nice!

I trashed the edge of my grey leather seats within one month of ownership. My CarHart logging pants and lumber jacket f*cked them up. They where replaced under warranty and then I covered them up with CoverKing Ballistic Tactical covers.

The cover on the driver's seat side is now starting to wear out too.

You just can't get good help these days.

The same shit everyone else has.
Blower motor stopped working on speed 1 through 3 today. Ugh. Drove around all day going from foggy windows to sweating my balls off back to foggy windows on repeat for about 150 miles.

Got home and wiggled the plug and the blower started working on all 4 speeds again.

    Found this thread - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/before-you-replace-the-blower-resistor.107093

So I just ordered a new plug and some pins to repair it.
