Bilstein 5100 to Toytec C/O Conversion Kit!!

how much down travel is that gonna give you, if any? i just have the 5100's looking at this kit

The kits longer coil will give better /smother articulation.The suspension will flex better. As for down travel,no.That is limited by the shocks length,control arms ect. Does this answer your ???

If you mean for the TN Group buy, they have a bunch of different options. If you already have the shocks, you only neeed the Stage 1 kit which is $349 if the group buy goes through. What's pictured on Toytec's site is what the group buy thread is calling "Stage 3". You have to pm the original poster on TN to get the price for the stage 3.

 

Here is the post with all the info. The Stage 3 kit is a hell of a deal, if you can afford it I'd go for it.

The Stage 3 kit comes preassembled so it wouldn't require a spring compressor to put it in. The stage 2 kit uses the stock top mounts so it would require a compressor to put the kit on. That would be the only disadvantage I could see.

Just recieved the stage 3 off the group buy and will install friday. Excellent customer service from toytec, arrived in 3 days. These coil are completly adjustable I believe up to 3 1/2", however come preset at 2 1/2" of lift. Toytec even pre-adjusted my drivers side for the taco lean. I believe when talking to them he said rated to 600lbs? As far as GB price I cant comment either however It was a buy I couldn't pass up for a complete CO setup...

 

Could you measure how high is the collar from the bottom for a 2.5" lift setting? I have the springs only.

I also picked up some Toytec UCAs from them while I was there. It was about $800 shipped for everything. Great deal.

 

If you go to Toyota nation and view the pics of the stage 3's and count exposed threads at the bottom of the coil. Mine are positioned very similar. Sorry at work right now and cant measure for you. I also think my right side has 2 more threads exposed for the lean. GL

 

yep.......gonna save for those for sure!!! my truck was offroaded alot before i bought it, so i gotta do alot of stuff to it to get it back in great shape. the 5100's ride really well.

im getting some wheelers 5 leaf rear springs, energy suspension bushings for the leafs, steering rack and sway bar. should ride really sweet after that.......and i also gotta save up for good tires too. the dealer put some shitty uniroyal laredo cross country tires on when i bought it. i need me some a/t's!!!

 

I called and I think I'm going with the billy 5100s and this conversion kit then an aal in the back. How hard is this to install? And is this a good way to go in your opinions? I'm a noob so pardon the lame questions, this is also the first truck I have ever owned worth putting money and time into. THanks for the info

 

good to know, it's nice to have finnaly made my decision. With billys and coil conversion in front and the aal in the rear do I need the billys out back too, or just in front? I am going to buy them on ebay right now and want to know if I should buy the set of 4 or just the 2?
