Even with 4wd, hitting logs and ditches still can lead to a bad day...

Btw, what's the story on someone needing an emergency 3rd member?

I have a 12 but base models like me have the 8.4 ring gear not the 8.0. All e lockers are 8.0
If the teeth on the ring or pinion are sheared you can pull the driveshaft but the wheels are still spinning so it won't do any good because they are still rotating. The front driveshaft wouldn't matter because it does not spin in 2wd on the tacomas just the FJ and I think some 4runners
I'm waiting for warren to explain it since it's his truck but I towed him from the back of the camp all the way to the front and it looked like a funeral was going on.

Short story shorter, I destroyed the ring and pinion in the rear end. I was still on stock gears (3.73) so this has allowed me to pull the trigger on 4.56/4.88's. Still in the research phase about what exactly I will get.

@dwaltdtx hey, I was going to ask you. But do you have different front fenders on your truck? They looked a lot wider than normal.

You had the black sport with the sungtop and prinsu on the cab right?

Ya, Mcneil +2 fronts. Looks goofy with the stock bumper, but the hybrid should go on next weekend
