Not much of a fan of the KO2

 

there is no tire thats good in mud. i can tell no difference between my stt pros and ko2s

where are you getting your info to base your opinion on?

 

You haven't been using the right tires apparently. Go get some Thornbirds

You are using the wrong tire or mall crawling.

One has the ability to be cleaned with a spin and the other does not. Pretty big difference right there. KO2s are racing slicks in mud..MTs are superior in every terrain except pavement.

+1, Coopers are what I have. Duratracs are a little cheaper around here than BFGs. That is part of the reason I put them on my 2009. Duratracs perform better in mud while the BFGs have stronger sidewalks and do better in rocks.

 

For anyone who ran duratracs, what was the life span for the tire? A friend had them on a power wagon and only got around 18k before they needed to be replaced

 

What kind of mud hole you driving in? My KOs have had no problem in any mud situation driving in the bush here. I'm not into mud bogging so the KOs do the job.

 

Real mud. Not dirty water..

I don't drive in mud holes I drive trails and roads and rain causes them to rut out really badly. On the east coast we have red clay as well which cakes up badly.

I've been in mud so sticky I've lost shoes.

 

To funny ! For sure that shows you need to buy a tire for your region. That east coast clay sounds like a handful

 

The only pairs I've had went over 40k before I got rid of the vehicle

 

cooper st maxx gets my vote. i love mine. They're amazing in dry, wet, and snow conditions. Haven't had them in the mud yet but since they're a hybrid im sure they'll do great.
