@zacharypaul89 I went fishing by sac o suds, out there on the ocmulgee by you, and not even a bite! Wtf!

 

I bought new wheels and tires.

 

Really? That's where we fish 90% of the time for shoal bass. We put our boat in about a mile south of Sac O Suds and ride up to that bridge and then troll back down. We always wear them out! What were you throwing?

I've never told anyone this before, but since you're an out-of-towner, it's no big deal...if my friends found out what I threw, I'd have to kill them lol. Our competition is fierce. Anyway, the secret bait down there is watermelon candy trick worms with a 1/16 bullet weight.

 

I have them sitting in my tackle box.... How do you fish it? Drift it or what?

 

I do. I like to anchor down and either throw into the current and let it drift or find some still water and throw around some rocks and just jiggle it every 2-3 mins or so.

So you just fish the bottom with it? If figure a Carolina rig might do good for that... Do the fish just quit biting at night around there?

 

I use a Texas rig, but Carolina would work, too. I've never fished down there at night. We usually go from daylight until 3-4pm.

 

City folks just don't get it.

I was like 5 so no haha, I feel I'd enjoy it more now that I can drink

 

I use to go fishing all the time as a little kid. It was always in ponds, so mostly brim, catfish, and bass. I haven't wet a hook in a long time. Damn adulthood sucks!

 

What do you guys think about stock alt to battery wiring with an added 6ga wire going from alt straight to the battery....

Planning on adding my winch but worried about the wiring. I also got a toyota to gm alt adapter for a cs-144 swap. Thinking of doing it cause I feel like the new oriellys 750cca battery will hold up to it...

 

So daylight is the time to go.... Guess I can manage that!

 

Definitely upgrade the alternator. Especially since you have a winch and probably plan on adding other accessories
