    I like those small streams, no need to wade although like that too. Something like this

    The crick is slot limit so the keepers are all the same size. Perfecting eating size that is, someone at the DNR knows what they are doing. Too many people doing catch and release and the water is at maximum carrying capacity. They are begging people to pull fish out. OK, always glad to help!

    I haven't trout fished since I was a kid, of course I haven't been many places that had trout since then. But we do have stripers, big mouth and cats here.

    Some of the mtn lakes east of Mammoth in the Eastern Sierra''s you could practically reach into the water with your hand and grab one easily

    I 've not gone fishing in ages but remember fishing while backpacking along the June Lake loop east of Mammoth . Another favorite location was the North fork of the American river near Caloma
