Edit #1: I honestly don't see those coming out without getting drilled.

Edit #2: If I didn't know any better I'd think that had been done at the factory to keep people from disassembling the action.

Why are you wanting to remove them again??

 

Not certain about the factory thing, though. The bluing looks like they were ground after the parts were blued, which is odd (grinding after bluing) for a factory to do. Plus the factory doesn't usually booger their pins like that.

If you're doing cold blue like you said i dont see a reason to remove them. We did a little single shot 410 and got it as far as we could and then blued. But those pins dont look like they are going to be coming out easy nor do they look like it will be going back together easy.

 

Yep, that's what I planned to do. I agree, I can't seem to find any way to remove them with out doing more damage. I'm just concerned when it comes to the rinse phase. Almost half tempted to just bail on rebluing it, don't want to do damage to the internals should any of the chemicals get in to it.

 

Will it fit in an ovan?

I don't hear anybody arguing in your defense, LOL . But yeah it's that way from the factory, the blueing rubbed off because it's a hi abrasion point.
