They were an sr model only option for 2016 they are an sr5 option only for 2017.....I'm sure they'd swap the dark alloys out for you.

I wouldn't let the wheels dictate your purchase of the truck. I'm sure you can find some OEM alloy take offs at the dealer, CL, or on here. So many people get aftermarket wheels and let the OEMs go for cheap.

I have the 2nd gen TRD OR wheels which I paid $195 on CL locally. That's such an insignificant amount as to not really be worth walking away from a truck deal for. If you get the new tires (Destinations, yes?) the tire shop will do all the swapping around for you probably for nothing. Firestone pulled my OEM tires off my OEM wheels, swapped TPMS into the new wheels, mounted the new tires on the new wheels, and mounted those to the truck, and double checked alignment all gratis.

I ended up giving away my stock tires to a neighbor who is broke as fuck and needed some tires for his Tracker, but you could sell them easily. The stock wheels are a harder sell...

I won't, but I'll try my best to get them to swap them out if I can. It's just easier to get it taken care of before it's picked up and less of a hassle. If not I'll be hunting for some. But good karmas coming your way man, kudos.

For $59 you are at 1/3 of the cost of a set of CL take offs, and if you are willing to buy some shit ass wheel covers and then "toss them" if you don't like them, then just send me the $59 and I'll put it to better use...

Eh I looked down that road, replacing TPMS and wheels and tires is not going down till I run these factory tires down... by that time I'll be ready to trade this one in anyway

That was the case for 2016, but not 2017. The dark alloys are for the 2017 SR5 trim now. We'll see what the dealer says when I give them a call tomorrow.
