It gradually was, up to a point but jacket and tie was and still is considered business attire. Although once in awhile a salesman will show up without a jacket here and immediately know they are out of place.

About 20 years ago when I was in the field traveling to businesses around the country in different vertical markets it was just starting to change and a topic of hot discussion at most places. For whatever reason IBM was considered the gold standard and very conservative, still are by some for some reason. When they started relaxing in large part due to Silicone Valley a lot of others did too. Not sure who put big blue in charge of that or why.

All the hipsters love those things and they are considered very trendy. They've made quite the comeback. I do have a pair of New Balance sneakers but usually wear boots when fishing, even from a boat of course! Aren't you supposed to be wearing a pair of boat shoes? :p

I still use the shower as some relief waiting for the meds no matter if I just got out or what. Heavy pulse massage setting water as hot as you can stand right at the base of the neck. But everyone is different so if it doesn't work for you then do what does :} Oh and give the dogs a greenie lol keep them quiet for a bit. You can't catch a break at this point ..

As long as I do not do anything to far from the body or move it quickly It leaves me alone. Like I said the vacuuming thing seemed like a good idea it needed it you know the drill with dogs. The ache is still coming on by late in the day /evening I saw the Dr Friday past asked him about it told him the PT folks think it is a nerve he blew that /them off . Says well your rotator cuff is pretty torn up which he did tell me. But he also stated if he fixed it too I would be out a year plus and not much chance of going back to my job. And then he was like well I think your probably good with PT now .. I was like umm not even close to where I need it to be , he was well you have the home exercises etc .. See where this is going ....I said look I do my home stuff but they actually stretch it further then I can on my own so .. He was like oh ok well maybe some more then.. I don't know if he sent a script or not will find out tomorrow. His nurse comes out and hands me a slip for work. I am glad I read it she was like here you go , you can go back to work "Light Duty" .........Wait what ?? We do not have light duty she had this deer in the headlights look I told her mam I have to be able to handle a dog ,weapon and fight if need be only one of those I can actually do right now. ( Dog is voice and off hand motion controllable ) She just said oh um ok brb comes back with the right stuff on the paper.. Sigh I am not sure the DR or She knew which patient I was lol I asked him to tell his people to send the paper work for my job and for the temp disability folks and just said oh the office people will take care of that.. very non committal like yep I will let them know to do it etc . And yeah the VA still has not done the temp increase to 100 percent supposedly will decide by Jan 31 .. lol what is there to decide I am rated for the shoulder they paid for the surgery .... ahh well fun times these are. I would almost rather a two day migraine then deal with this shit. Sorry for the book but hey you asked lol.

Hmmm, guess I'm just fashion savvy. Been wearing Chucks since the 60's,lol.
On the yacht it's either Chucks or rubber sandals or no shoes. Easier to clean the bloody mess.

The Lowas I wear are 299 regular but not on sale. They're the Camino. These are on sale at 276 and only 2 oz heavier. Same style, sole, toe cap etc.

Keds used to all be made in Naugatuck CT - good 'ol USA. Uniroyal closed the factories in the late 70s and so went the shoes. I remember going to the seconds sales room as a kid buying a pair for under 2 bucks. And if you were really nice to the sales lady she'd give you extra long shoe laces...
Now what's left is a giant parking lot.

Yup. I remember my Uncle taking me up to Uniroyal for my 1st set of rubber waders.

Peter Paul (Mounds/Almond Joy) was there too?

Yeah it was across town. 46 acres of open space now. Hersey bought them out and knocked the building down.
