Oh, it's definitely not a bad thing at all, just stating that it's more rutted out than it was in October. Trails 2, 5, 10, and 13 were all recently graded to allow for the hunters to have easier access to the killing fields, the sand hills off of 9 are still open, the pit on 16 is deep and sloppy, 14 is good to go, 19 was by far the most fun. Even some of the bypasses needed bypasses.

Did you make it over to 11b on the south side? I can't really imagine it'd be better or worse than it was in October, but anything is possible I guess.

And 13 having been graded is a good thing, IMHO. It's too boring a trail to have to go slow on, but it was getting pretty damn rough.

I did hit 11b. It's good and maybe a little rougher than it was in October. Doesn't seem to get much traffic back there. Alot of downed trees with bypasses.

That's pretty close to what I was told when I called the Withlacoochee Visitor's Center and asked back in November. The guy said they were looking to implement it this spring, March at the earliest. That said, I'm not sure I'd believe the camp nazi if she said the sky was blue without third-party confirmation. She seems pretty shady to me. o_O

She was reading a group of jeeps the riot act at the campground Saturday morning. The usual BS.

Ha! Right!?! They all parked on the grass by the bathrooms in an area that wasn't marked "overflow parking" and she got pretty loud about it.

Holy crap I've missed a lot! Glad to finally be on here though. I'll definitely be there on the 11th and 12th, if I can get Fri night off too then I'll make my way out there earlier.

We did take some casualties at the Camp & Ride. At least you didn't destroy your engine like Thorny Mike. :pout:

Speaking of... @michaelrussell , any word on if you're gonna make this one or is the Thorny Beast still in ICU?

Well, shit. If that's the case, I may have to sit this one out. It just won't be the same without Thorny Mike making things interesting. ...that and he's the OGT recovery unit.

Even if mine is ready, I'm leaning more toward sitting this one out too. There just isn't enough time to comfortably test out all these new parts before driving that far and wheeling.

Hey now, I was mostly kidding about sitting it out. Don't go using me to assuage your conscience about not showing up. :p You know Citrus is about as low-impact as it gets (perfect testing ground) and I'm sure @Timbo89 would be more than willing to drag you back to Lakeland on the end of a strap if something failed catastrophically. Heck, I'd be willing to ask my uncle if I could borrow his truck and trailer to haul ya home if it was necessary (if I had my new gears, I'd just borrow the trailer, but the OGT don't like towing shit with 3.90s). Honestly though, if it was going to fail, I would imagine you'd know it before you even got to Citrus. ;)
