Nope. I also have a lot of empty booze bottles that I pull out and toss around the house. I tend to ask if they remember much from the night before because I blacked out

Same area. This was taken at the bottom of the dam. We fish off of the rocks on the south side right there. I love it, it's beautiful.

If you can brave the weather, it's always fishing season.

That sounds like it might be worth the drive down south.

If I'm heading down that way, I can bring some stuff down for you. Save however many hours of driving up and back for you

I'm getting jealous. We are supposed to get up to 40 in the next few days with rain. All the snow here is going to start to melt, then refreeze after the heat wave and driving out here is going to be a shit show.

Kind of related note, I got a ton of pelletized bedding for my horses today and thought the suspension in my truck seemed pretty weak to hold it. I had OME/Dakar leafs on my Tacoma, and at 1800 or so lbs in the bed, she was definitely squatting, but not as much as my dodge. I thought the extra weight would help get through the snow in my pasture, but it really didn't. In 4hi, open diffs seem to want to let the wheels spin out in the soft powdery snow, even light on skinny pedal. In 4lo, it grabs much better, like if that is engaging limited slip. Going back empty, still better in 4lo that 4hi. This truck may not be the winning ticket offroad, at least not in snow.

Hey neighbors. I’m planning a 1 to 2 week road trip for the summer and hope to drive a big loop through southern Idaho, go through western Wyoming and southern Montana and then head back around through central/northern Idaho and southern Washington. I’m not a fan of campgrounds so would like to stay off the grid and overland as much as possible. Any advice or roads or trails you’d recommend?

    Thanks in advance!

Has anyone else had problems with their oil filter coming loose? Mine has been a bitch this past year.

Ryan installed it. Seal has been oiled, only hand tightened on by him. It seems to be coming loose oh every 3-5 months. We only notice it because of the oil in the driveway. I think it's a Purolator filter, if that makes a difference.

Most filters say to put them on to where the seal touches, then another 1/2 - 3/4 turn. I put mine on then estimate hand tightening to 3/4 turn. I am a bit compulsive about making sure things are on tight. I have to have the oil filter pliers to get the filter off when doing the next oil change, and it always comes off very deformed.

The unfortunate thing is it only has like 2k miles since the last oil change and the previous filter did the same thing. I have however left my skid plate off for easy access to the filter. Lol

X2 You have no idea how many loose/leaking oil filters I've seen from this cold weather. It all boils down to cheap O-rings on the filter.

Excellent. Thank you! I stayed outside of Idaho City a couple summers ago and it was beautiful country.

Maybe I’ll explore Hwy 21 (and Hwy 75?) and get off the highway wherever possible on our way out to Wyoming.

    Thanks again!
