center cap covers/stickers?

Hey guys does anyone know if the Toyota logo on the center caps are molded plastic or just a sticker? Long story short, I bought 4Runner TRD PRO center caps in hopes that they'd fit on my Trail edition wheels. Sadly they do not, so I have to return them and shell out for the proper caps and paint them.

I'm not a huge fan of the Toyota logo on the center caps, small detail I know. Now Im wondering if I can find a sticker to get it to look like this.

 

Look at the back of the cap. I put 4Runner sport wheels on a gx470 Lexus and the emblems had the same holes. I used a heat gun to switch them.

 

And please post pictures, I'd like to see what they look like on your truck.

 

well the picture is mine, the center caps on the wheels right now are they wrong ones and won't clip in. so I'm going to have to get Trail Edition center caps and modify them if I want the red TRD logo

 

Do you have the part number on the caps that you bought and do not like? I might be willing to take them off your hands if you can't return them.

the shitty thing isn't that I don't like them. In fact i love how they look but it just sucks that there's a half inch difference in diameter for the spring in the back (compared to a member's photos) and the tabs are completely different to the Trail Edition center caps.

Oh, the ones you bought were black? I was going by the picture.

The "TRD" logo is molded into the plastic.

Oh well, If they were grey I might buy them as a spare set to "play" with. I'm thinking about lighting up the ones I have.

So you want these exact caps or these caps with a big "TRD" on them?

 

yes and no. Im going to have to paint them flat black and I want to remove the Toyota logo and replace it with a sticker or something that says TRD in red instead. Ordered a set from my dealer already

yeah I saw those too. I'll have to see when I get the centercaps and measure. If I get those I'll probably end up spraying a flat clear coat on them so they're not shiny

thanks. I was hoping the pro caps would work and I could have the whole wheel package ready when I pick the truck up from the dealer, but no bueno

get @rrentrop the diameter you need, flat black sticker, and have him overlay a red trd sticker on top....check his work, he def has the skills to make it happen, probably get just want you want at a good price. He does all the tailgate stickers etc for a lot of members. He prob has the files for the Trd already, would just need to size them for the diameter you requested.
