My wife hates the way plate bumper and hybrid bumpers look on tacos. Well, when one is in my budget, I'm getting one (GSF or DYF)

    Thanks @mpkramer71

I think what is surprising me is the price difference in these types of lifts... I really do not haul things a lot so in my sort of logic is it worth it (Dakars)? Or how does it help? Extra support for bed shocks?

She'd like mine. Everyone likes mine. Except for the people who don't. There are also people who don't not like it. Or the ones that don't not dislike it also.

guess I'm lucky. wife likes my truck setup. Even likes the oem wheels I painted so much that she doesn't really want me to go aftermarket (but understands wanting to get the spacers out of the way).

She's actually bummed that once the 4th baby is here this summer, we won't be able to pack the family in it anymore.
Need to take another trip to Arkansas or Missouri for camping & trout fishing within the next month so she can get one last fix before her belly is too much in the way.

Anyone ever been to Blanchard Springs Caverns off the White River in AR? Wondering if she and the kids would like it if we happen to get into that area anyway.

Been to that area before its very nice. Also you can't do better than the White river in the midwest IMO. Grew up fly fishing the Ozarks (Missouri - Arkansas) anywhere from the dam to Cooter AR is amazing. You may want to either get a drift boat or john boat depending on the water level of the white too. You can wade in some spots but since its a Tailwater of a dam you have to be extremely careful of unexpected releases. it was not the White but here at Caney Fork I got stuck on a island due to a unexpected release of water...

Missouri Parks.... Grew up Fly Fishing these.
Look into Montauk State Park (Missouri) too that is a trout/state park it's beautiful as well as Massive. Super manageable i've had over 30 fish days here. There are also local resorts where you can pick up kayaks or rafts to float the current river as well. Roaring River also is neat located more towards Springfield MO but if you're traveling that far might as well go to the white river. Bennett Springs, another blue ribbon trout park.
Usually with these places though you'll buy your annual tag or weekend tag then a daily trout tag. The daily tag is no more than 3$ keep 4 Total of 10 in possession of each angler at one time ect ect. Be careful of size limits with browns though must be over 15inches....

How would you compare the White River to the Little Red River? I've fished the Lil. Red out of Heber Springs before but I feel like I hear more about the White River.

The White to the Little Red are completely different streams. The White can be rather unpredictable at times and also a handful. With Little Red There are a lot more runs and smaller more manageable streams that run off of each other rather than fishing the white (Devils, North and South fork). Little Red has more opportunity for wading experiences (especially when low!) and back water pocket fishing in deep holes also small runs/riffles. I've been on that stream maybe 3 times and had good experiences. The white is fun though! There are massive Bows and Browns but i'll forewarn you I've gotten skunked too/generation schedules suck during the summer meaning its always high!

Long story short White is more river fishing.... Little red more sight fishing you feel like you're in the backwoods and with a good pair of sunglasses most of the time its sight fishing. Which is more enjoyable to me cause you get to pick out which one you wanna try to fool.

Will be shore fishing because kids. Might wade as far as knee deep but that's it.
Never tried the White. Did Little Red once. Heber Springs was too busy to enjoy. We went about 30-40 minute drive down stream and found a real quiet sand bar behind an old folks home that was perfect though except for fish being really small.

Dry run Creek in the Norfork of the white is a kids only fishing area (Must be barbless and single hook) but if you travel down the road a little there are some pull offs that come out of the zone. Last time I was there pulled a 4lbs rainbow out and a 3.5lb 22inch Brown. Small manageable side stream pretty decently sized fish. If you're bait fishing use power bait or great balls of fire with a size 12-14 hook with back barbs.

Shopping for sliders and the lead time for everyone I have checked with is 10-12 weeks. I was hoping to have a set installed before the LBL meet.

Anyone know a vendor that may have some in stock or be able to roll some out before then?

Yep, I checked with Pelfreybilt, Mobtownoffroad (doing my skids now), and BAMF and they are all 10-12 weeks. I had no idea sliders were such a special order "speciality" item.

In my mind that is terrible service (time). I could order almost anything else in the world and have it on my porch next week.

That being said, I do own three custom bicycles, two titanium, one true temper steel, and the lead time for them was lengthy as well, so I get it.
