On a side note, what in the fuck is up with customer service these days?

I emailed Remington a simple question, they didn't reply for over a week - and when they did, they referred me elsewhere. Why does one of the world's largest firearms manufacturers have a customer service email, but can't provide basic information?

On top of that, I've been trying to get a latch for my baby gate warrantied and in hand before my daughter figures out the latch doesn't lock anymore and goes to play on the stairs.. I've been contacting the manufacturer for a week and a half, they never follow up with me as they're supposed to, and I'm the one on the phone every day trying to get updates and progress. I sent them information Thursday that they requested and didn't hear anything back on Friday, so I called them that afternoon and they said "we still need the manufacturing date."

Cool, dude.. maybe you could reply to our email conversation that I needed to provide it, and then I wouldn't be pushed back an additional week on getting the new part.

Tell me what you need and I'll give it to you. If I miss something, tell me so I can get it! :bananadead:

    I don't even. I don't, fucking, even.

How about when I ordered that diamond plate rubber mat for the garage...it shows up in perfect box, still wrapped in plastic inside, but there's a foot long tear down the middle. What does Amazon want? For me to pay to ship it back (got it through Warehouse Deals "Like new"), and then a 5% fee or some shit, and they would ship me a new one. After jumping through about 3 managers I got 25% of the money back and kept the damaged mat.

Defined Engineering makes one but you lose the Spare mount location. A few companies make beefier shackle mounts too but you have to grind out the rivets to replace. Not too hard but more than bolt on.

That's what I thought. I talked to @JLee not too long ago and he mentioned he's got something in the works but like most the fab shops we deal with they are crazy busy.
