Sport wheels are 25.5 pounds and stock Toyo tires are 36 pounds. Cannot remember where I found it last July when I replaced mine. Total weight 61.5 pounds on each axle. My replacements were 3.5 pounds heavier. That is with street 265/70-17 tires. The AT tires are roughly 50 pounds for c and e rated tires.

Definitely wait for the right one to show up! We waited until a 3-car garage popped up and grabbed it as fast as we could

Wow, thats a nice lightweight stock tire and wheel package. Difficult to improve on.

I really like that! Checked out their website, they have them listed for SR5 or TRD. I have a limited, looks like the SR5 are the same., is that right?

I did good staying at 65 pounds, using 8" plus 10 wheels, though would have liked wider wheels and tires. I love the KO tires but even the P rated are very heavy and my truck is only rear wheel drive so could not justify the added weight. I feel no difference in driveability other than the additional tire height. Still may go with a larger combo, probably 285 on a 18" x 8.5" wheel, whenever I level the truck. If the stock sports were more minus offset I would have just added tires. Just don't like the flat face of a plus 30 offset wheel. Spacers can't change that. Even my current plus 10 wheels do not have much of a lip even though it widened the stance by 2".no air dam.jpg

Well I actually drove it in 4-wheel drive for the first time since getting the gears done, at any type of speed today because the road is wet and slushy and I hear grinding noises and vibration in the pedal. Just can't win.

It's not the Pro just the regular, it does take up some space as the roll up part does set on the front edge of the wheel wells. So anything higher than the wells will not fit all the way to front of the bed. I haven't had any issue with mine. It would be easy to remove the whole thing, 4 bolts, pick it off, no problem. Just would take 2 people. No leaks except by the tail gate but I have no gaskets back there. But even with out gaskets it's minimal. I think I paid around 1200 uninstalled. It was easy to put on!

You already had front gears done? Go bad or just re-gear. A little vibration at speed in 4wd is ok but not grinding noises..

Great and thanks. So my new wheels are each .5lbs lighter but each tire is 19.4lbs heavier :ballchain:

Sounds like I'm driving over slow down ripples in the road before you would get to a stop sign. And can feel it in the gas pedal. I thought it didn't sound right when I first got the truck back the first time I tried four wheel because of the situation with it not going into 4 wheel which ended up being the actuator. And I thought it sounded funny then figured maybe because the big tires or something. What was going really slow. Tonight I had the truck out and road was wet and a little slushy so figured would be a good time to try it for real at some speed. Doesn't sound good.

Sounds like something else. Usually the bearing vibrations go way in 4wd?

Already texted Bob at the shop that installed the gears, knew he wouldn't want to hear from me again with bad news but he said drop it off tomorrow morning. He said everything worked when he figured out the actuator was bad and he don't remember me telling him I thought something sounded funny. Don't know how this is going to play out again.:frusty:
