Yes, two wheel sounds fine now that JT'S redid the gears. They were bad the first time that the local shop did it.

Any thoughts or advice Jerry? Between this and dealing with my dad in ailing health, I am feeling like I am down and someone keeps kicking me! I know I'm going to face the guy at the shop again looking at me like nothing he did is wrong and he knows he got everything right on these gears even though all I have is problems and I don't really want to argue with him. Usually don't mind but I don't know that I have it in me right now. Sorry for spilling on here guys. :(

Well, first, sorry to hear about your dad! Definitely sending positive vibes your way!!

As for the gears, given what happened in the text rear diff, I'm guessing he didn't properly set the front either. The vibration you mentioned sounds like the needle bearing however the opposite in the bad needle bearings will lose the vibration when you put it into 4wd... First things first, start with the things that have been touched, i.e. the gears and start to trace backwards from there. Drain the front diff and see if the gear oil has metal shavings. If it does, bet your assistance he set those gears improperly as well

Not sure what the needle bearing does, but it seems like quite a bit of vibrating when first engaging then seems okay till I get moving pretty good, then I can feel that vibration if I'm just giving a little bit of gas or letting off the gas, sounds and feels like grinding and can feel it in the pedal. Almost like knobby tires are rubbing on the fender type of sound. My son actually said take it out of 4 wheel because it sounded bad like we might end up having a problem getting home and I did take it out.

The front CV Needle bearing just makes a slight rumble, nothing that would affect the drive-ability. The front axle disconnect is tricky to reassemble, and if that wasn't installed properly, or the gears weren't setup properly, you could be causing damage to the front as well.

I forget the whole story, but has this guy installed 1000's of gear sets, or just on the side. I only take my axles to rearend shops, nothing else. Unfortunately, if you do not have the ability to pull the axles yourself, this might get expensive to have another shop verify the work.

I personally would take it to a rearend shop and leave it with them. Unfortunately, these things can happen with modified vehicles, and it totally sucks. I've pulled the front diff, and it's a good amount of work.

Edit: This pic gives me anxiety

First of all, sorry to learn about your dad's health. All your family comes first. And thank you for your quick and helpful replies to the many questions I posed to you.
A return to your installer seems like the first option that should be recieved in a manner to please the customer. A bit more time and maybe all is well or a direction to solve the issue.
    Wishing the best for you!

Greetings fellow Mexican food connoisseurs; was told this is where all Tacos come to party online! Lulz, figured I'd poke my head in here after many months of learning (yes lurking), observing and getting inspired (stalking much), I'd show my creation so far, which some of you might have run across it at the Taco subreddit. Run at the Olympic Peninsula 101 recently! Enjoy!

LEDs all around; inside and outside. (why manufacturers don't do this from the factory is beyond me...)
(Soon to come UCAs/Spacers?? as well with light rubbing full lock)

CaliRaised ditch mounts with Auxbeam ditch lights
    Softtopper custom-euro-edition-amazing tarp mod

Thanks for all the inspiration and I am most def enjoying the shit out of this space ship; both on and off road!

Ok, just a teaser really. Install of the entire stereo is hitting some stooooopid speedbumps but there is progression! Installed door speakers and the new head unit. While the dynamat was being finished I think I may have been the first person on the planet to watch planet earth 2 in a 3rd Gen tacoma. Was testing out my firestick via the flush mount hdmi to the head unit. Works perfectly.

More pictures tomorrow of the rest of it!

I think based on the bezels that is correct but I don't think it should matter.
