I am in Austin Texas. I've really just started looking into local guys but this morning was quoted by a guy down the street that it would be anywhere from $850 to 1250 which I think is ridiculous.

It depends on what you are going for. Everyone has their own opinion.

Do you want looks, or do you actually want to use them?

If looks, and don't mind drilling or welding the frame. Then these are your cheapest options. PM @sidetracked to see if he's got any specials, was helpful for me :).

If constant use and peace of mind, I would recommend looking else where. You can even get 100% bolt ons. Plus I always like supporting the smaller shops.

You could get a set shipped from SOS Off-road Concepts for less than that. There are a bunch of other fabricators on here that can ship for a reasonable price.

I got some from SOS Concepts a few months back and it was quite a bit cheaper with shipping and could not be happier.

I love my @Pelfreybilt sliders. I went full bolt on with fill plates and powder coat, so it cost me toward the higher end of the price you listed after shipping. Gotta pay to play.

The ones you list should work fine though if you just want to bash your rig around and have some protection. Trail gear gets very mixed reviews, if you search around.
