I am ordering my CB stuff today. One last question: Firestik heavy or medium duty spring? I am mounting with Relentless passenger hood mount

How long is your antenna? 2'?

If it's two, you're probably fine with either. If it's longer than that, I'd hesitate to use heavy duty because that will severely minimize flex and could cause some heartache in parking garages, depending on lift/tires/etc. (The upside is that it would wiggle less on the highway.)

I'll plus one on that, the heavy spring is a must for 4' and longer, but if it's a 2' or so it should be fine.

    Oh heck yeah they do.

    Can you post the specs??

Anything 17" or larger with 4.5 backspace will do.

If you go 'lower' backspace ie. 3.5 - they will just poke out more and possibly have more rubbing issues if you go up in tire size a bunch.

That being said, the wheels I have coming are

17x9 3.5 bs and -38 offset. They will be poking a lot

It is a 3' antenna. I currently have no lift, but plan to one day. I park in an 8ft garage. Sounds like medium would be best.

I run the heavy duty on a 2' firestik. It doesn't move on the highway but still folds over when in the woods. I like it.

Mine is canted slightly though, and it annoys the shit out of me.

My antenna is about 1/8", not really good reception, but it doesn't hit anything. Fucker broke off somewhere.

I have that 4' Wilson that I couldn't ground if you want it. You'd reverse your problem from too short to too long. (And longer is better, amiright?)

FML was doing rack pulls at the gym today and tore my bicep. Had an MRI today going in for surgery tomorrow morning to repair a "distal bicep tendon tear"

On top of missing our vacation to Aruba that we were supposed to take on Thursday the doc said it will be 6 months until I'm fully back at the gym.

Beyond that still have my skids to install and new bumper will be here sometime in Feb.

Ouch! My brother had that happen last year. Same doc who did his ACL tear did his bicep. A year later he can barely see the scar.

Fingers crossed yours goes just as well.
