I've been learning so much since I bought this truck. Before I had it I probably wouldn't have been able to change my own oil; I was the opposite of a mechanical. So it feels good just jumping in a figuring everything out.

Looking for suggestions for a trail to hit this week. Finally lifting the truck today and putting on skids. I'm up by Fort Collins and looking for something that's not buried in snow or crazy challenging.

7-Mile is what you want. It's all that's open too, aside from Ballard Road which is difficult in the winter, body damage likely.

    Edit..
here is the link to the Northern trails.
    https://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/...000000000000&ttype=detail&cid=stelprdb5300963

Although there are a few listed as Open, and they most likely are at the trail head, the main roads to get to the trail head are closed. It's mainly snowmobile use at those areas.
7-Mile and Ballard are confirmed open and will be until spring runoff.

Thank you, I've got a buddy coming up from Texas with his FJ and we were looking for something to do. Here's hoping for not getting stuck.

Either tomorrow or Thursday depending on how much progress we make on the truck today. That would be awesome, I'm from Michigan so I'm used to mud and sand. Not rocks and ravines.

I was thinking more of the weekend. I won't be able to make it mid week.
It's just icy stream crossings and deep snow right now. You guys will be fine.
Take hy14 up the Poudre Canyon until you hit Rustic and take a right, on Manhattan Road. Trail head is first unmarked road on the left, about 200 yards up. Go down it a ways and there will be an official sign next to a power substation.
