As some know I just got my truck back from having the frame replaced. An while doing this the fuel tank has a rust hole in it. That tuned up when they pulled the tank. Toyota wanted $900 for a tank. I found one on Rockauto for around $250. Now for the question. I have a 02 4x4 with a extended cab. Not the 4 door. Rockauto has 2 tanks listed. One is a 18.5 gallon tank and the other is a 16 gallon tank. From everything I can find I need the 18.5 gallon tank. Is this correct?

It would make sense. I'll be the 16 gallon goes with the 5 lugger.

I can tell you I just installed the 18.5 gallon tank from rock auto in my 03 double cab 4x4. I think rock auto has it listed in the description which can the tank goes with. I personally called a dealer with my VIN and had them tell me which tank my truck had before buying the Spectre one from rock auto. ~$250 vs $680 from my local dealer :boom:

The bigger tank is for the 4x4 trucks and the smaller tank is for the 2x4 trucks (except prerunner)

    I know it because I changed someone's tank (he has a basic 2x4 taco) while I have a 4x4 SR5
