I think it was a legitimate hold.

There isn't a team in the NFL that doesn't talk shit about other teams. Sometimes they do it publicly, most of the time they do it privately. Sometimes they do it privately and one of their dumbass players broadcasts it to the world. Lets not kid ourselves, these guys do not get paid the money they do because they are smart.

Don't be fooled my friend. I have only been wrong about my beloved cowboys thus far into the play offs.

    As I have said before
    Pats>Steelers
    Falcons>GB

    Pats>Falcons

Even though I would love to see GB make it to the Bowl to lose to Pats.

Me too. I want revenge for that '96 Superbowl when it was Bledsoe/Favre.

I totally agree with that article. I was extremely disappointed in Michael Bennett so much so that my birthday is in the middle of February and I was going to get a Bennett jersey, that's on hold for now. However, I'm more disappointed in the team for not addressing the issue head on and making it clear that that kind of behavior is not acceptable.

IMO, this is the "bad" side of a Pete Carroll team. A lot of people don't like Pete for reasons I can understand but disagree with. I don't hold anything at USC against him, imo, every coach who has ever had success has had the same issues. Don James was a longtime successful coach at UW. Even he had players coloring outside the lines while he was coach. You can't control everyone all the time.

Pete is an eternal optimist and firmly believes that allowing players to be themselves and play "free" will yield the best results on the field. That optimistic side rubs people the wrong way, especially the pessimists. You can't argue with his method however, he gets the most from his players. There's Bill Belichick and there's Pete Carroll... their methods are very different. (and no, I'm not comparing success just opposing styles)

This team is built around a core of undrafted or under-drafted players with massive chips on their shoulder. Even the smoothest ones like Wilson have a massive chip. Marshawn Lynch hated the media and absolutely wasted their time and we loved him for it. Carroll allowed Marshawn to be Marshawn. There's a reason his best years were in Seattle. The Seahawks play a brand of football that very few other teams play. They play with a freedom and ferocity that is rarely matched. They might get beat talent wise or performance wise on a day but I've never seen a team out hustle, out work or out physical them. The edge of that blade is thin though and in the end you have 53 people of very differing backgrounds, upbringings, personalities and expectations all being pushed to play on the edge, as close to it as possible. It's inevitable that it's going to spill over or someone is going to have a misstep.

I would have liked to have seen Carroll address it head on is his press conference. For the records he did address it and he did say that it is not acceptable, he just didn't go far enough in my mind.

All you gotta do is look at the 1990s Patriots under Parcells and then Carroll.

    Then read this. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/club-dive-costs-bledsoe-lane/

That loss by KC or win by Pitt (however you view it) was all on the coach.

They actually used to have a great defense, 5th in the NFL the year they won the SB and 2nd the year before that. Injuries and losing players to free agency destroyed their defense the year after they won the SB, and they haven't been able to rebuild it.

Both Coaches game plans were not very worthy as we all know who watched. The STEELERS clearly were/are the better team and i'm not just saying that being a diehard lifelong STEELERS fan.The game plan for the Patriots obviously must be better especially when it comes to converting TD's in the red zone.GO STEELERS.

Why is everyone doubting the Falcons? I think they're looking the best they have in franchise history. Since their bye-week they've been looking serious.

As far as any professional football player or any sports star for that matter goes, if emotion doesn't get the best of some of them after a loss then you have to go back to what Vince Lombardi said,
"Show me a good loser, and I will show you a loser."

Bill Wixey who has covered Seahawks football for Q13 for awhile now essentially went up to Michael Bennett after the loss and asked him why he didn't do his job. Did Bennett take it a little too far-maybe. But I am surely not surprised by his response.

The NFL is full of alpha male ego maniacs that thrive on the limelight when all is good. Throw in a loss, and players will react differently. Some will see their responses as inappropriate. But it isn't surprising.
