Everything LEGO thread!

My son got these for Xmas. He put them together over the weekend.

"A large number of LEGO minifigures use weapons, and are – assumedly – regularly being charged by each others’ weapons as part of children’s role play. In the LEGO Group, we acknowledge that conflict in play is especially prevalent among 4-9-year-old boys. An inner drive and a need to experiment with their own aggressive feelings in order to learn about other people’s aggressions exist in most children. This in turn enables them to handle and recognize conflict in non-play scenarios. As such, the LEGO Group sees conflict play as perfectly acceptable, and an integral part of children’s development. We also acknowledge children’s well-proven ability to tell play from reality. However, to make sure to maintain the right balance between play and conflict, we have adhered to a set of unwritten rules for several years. In 2010, we have formalized these rules in a guideline for the use of conflict and weapons in LEGO products. The basic aim is to avoid realistic weapons and military equipment that children may recognize from hot spots around the world and to refrain from showing violent or frightening situations when communicating about LEGO products. At the same time, the purpose is for the LEGO brand not to be associated with issues that glorify conflicts and unethical or harmful behavior."

 

The space sets were probably some of my favourite when I was a kid

Going through all my old boxes and fixing the broken sets before I build my new ones.

 

Dude! I have all of those, I need to open up my boxes and rebuild all of my old stuff

 

I'm going to have to get new boxes. My mom crammed some of my stuff in to small of boxes which was fine but I'm thinking now just buy more boxes and spread stuff out so it can hopefully stay together I have to rebuild a lot of my castle sets and older fire sets and my construction set. But by far my fave is the space

 

Ditto - love the classic space sets.

 

Any one have these two sets?? I don't think I have everything to go with the first set in the bin I got it from. I'm sure if there's something missing I have it somewhere. I believe it had a helicopter??

 

I haven't rebuilt the scenery yet, but yes I have the Amazon crossing set.

I don't recall the windmill and such with that car but yeah it came with a helicopter. I have that set somewhere in my bins

 

I think the car is from something else but it was in the same bin... i'all have to find the instructions. Also have a plane I believe goes with it as well as the helicopter

 

It's been slow on the lego front for me. I keep trying to find the Batman CMFs. I've been holding off buying anything really so I can grab a few of the Batman minifig poly bags Lego will be offering with purchases in Feb.

 

A brickset member hooked me up with these gems.

 

So I went by the Lego store to see if they had any batman CMFs. Lucky for me they had some and I was able to complete one set. Now I'm just missing Red Hood and Dick Greyson for a second set.

 

Finally!!!



Plan to wrap it up this weekend & then pull out the whole town.

 

@pat's taco im sure she would be fine with it. Everyone needs a hobby.
