Damn that definitely is high. Is that really 45°? We initially had mine at something like 35°, iirc, and the door did still open but it was close. I am surprised 45° isn't a problem.

I can't say I'm partial to either, really. I like angled as well as flat. But from a performance standpoint, I see more benefit in angled. Less loss of outboard ground clearance.

Interesting. Different part numbers, but otherwise interchangeable among all years, 95-04?

    98-00: 43330-39815 and 43340-39585
    01-04: 43340-39436 and 43330-39556

I already got mine for $170 total, but it they are interchangeable, it could save others time and coin to get the 01-04

The real concern is width of the truck as @m3bassman can attest to, we were forced to take a much tougher line due to rocks that would wedge us in on either side...

The line in this pic didn't work....

    So this was the alternative...

Oh that didn't even occur to me. I was simply looking at the height, not the width. Even more reason to angle them. While most cases won't be like what you posted, that is one hell of an example.

Yeah, would have been tough for sure. Doesn't set up well for the next part...

    Demonstrates the point decently though

Unless it's hitting and making noise it would cause more problems to fix. If it's making noise then we can bash the pinch weld flat and create some more clearance.

Oh I see what you mean, we could tweak it a bit with a portapower if it's bothering you.
