    The other parameter I regularly struggle with in the shell vs. no shell debate is versatility. My home is probably best described as a hobby farm and my Tacoma must regularly serve farm duties: hauling hay, shavings, lumber, sand, etc. While I could remove the shell, it was not convenient. We recently purchased a 4' x 6' utility trailer (which is amazing), seeming to reduce the need for an open bed. This is one reason I've come back to considering a shell. That damn little trailer is so nimble, though, it makes me wonder about finding/building a little offroad trailer. There is really no end to this hobby...

    I think one is termed Tactical and one is not as well. One is an All Weather Storage Case and one is All Weather Tactical Case?

    Looked again, and both exterior dimensions are 46".

    They're both the same case, one is just labelled incorrectly in the title.

    Also look out for price changes on those items on Amazon. I bought one at $70, then a week later they were $50.

    Alright, I know this question has been beat to death, but I'm gonna ask about it anyway because I've read so many threads about it I don't know what to think anymore:

    I currently have the TSB leaf springs with the Icon AAL, but they are finally starting to sag on me, so it's gonna be time to replace those soon. On the daily, I don't carry a whole lot of extra weight in the truck (just my Leer canopy and maybe around 80 pounds of assorted gear), and when I do carry a lot of weight, it's not for an extended period of time.

    With that said, it seems like Dakars may be a bit overkill for me, which basically leaves me to choose between the Wheeler's or All-Pro packs (the Deaver's are too expensive, so those are off the list). I'm leaning towards the All-Pros. However, the new Dobinson springs look promising.

    What say you?

    The dakars are going to be the best option for you if you're looking not to break the bank. If they are too stiff or tall for you, you have the option of removing a leaf.

    All pro standards are nice if you're not running extra weight but don't look for over the top load-bearing capacity (The Expo springs are for that application, however they will probably ride stiff without weight in the bed).

    I have no knowledge of the other two packs.

    Agreed. I'm running the Dakars, too. They flex well and have great load carrying ability. They do ride a bit rough empty, I guess. But I expect it. It's a truck. If it rides nice empty, it will ride terrible loaded.

    @3378jakesr5

    You think you could do a How-To on that toolbox once it is complete? I would love to do something like that as right now I carry a Kobalt 100piece kit in the truck for longer trips, but would like to condense it down some..
