    So...I probably sound like a complete idiot. But what does the TRD sticker actually mean when it is on a 1st gen Tacoma?

    Generally, you get Bilstien shocks, and a locker, and progressive rate front coil springs.

    Lol, yeah I would have to agree. Since I've had the truck I look at getting through tough situations differently now. Option 1: 2wd, Option 2: 4wd Option 3: 4wd w/ rear locker. If I am stuck after going through the motions...I'm stuck. :)

    True that, it's a lifesaver for me since I have a Prerunner :p

    But to the OP, depending on year and cab configuration, you'll get either Bilstein or Tokico shocks, progressive front springs, and the rear e-locker.

    Yeah its a mod for 1st gen. 4x w/rear locker that enables a "locker on demand" sort of thing example: On 1st gen 4x w/RR in stock form the only time you can engage the locking rear diff. is in 4lo, with the mod you can engage it in 4H & I think you can engage it in 2W like a pre runner but read the gray wire thread for all the details , I guess its potentially a good thing, I just don't usually go fucking around with electrical systems on vehicles & with 4x I don't see the need to have your diff locked at any speed over 15-20 mph , maybe deep sand or mud ,I dunno just my opinion...........:cool:
