Never too cold. Well... maybe. But I don't think there's an off season to camp. Just fair weather campers... ;)

I used to camp 12 months a year. Now I don't. Got Frostbite one year , now my hands are cold most of the time.

Ordered an OR Ferrosi summit hooded jacket. Should be here in a couple days, it will be the only real jacket that I own.

Picked up a Solo Stove Titan and Kettle. It's heavy, but I love it. Works extremely well, and generates a surprising amount of heat.

No backpacking or camping toys, but I got a new camera lens and tripod!

Which I used to take some photos at Big Bend. It counts, right?

Ernst Tinaja is about 10-12 feet wide, and said to be about 10 feet deep as well. Several animals have died falling in, and at least one human!

With it pretty much at capacity like in my photo, no, but if it is a dry year and it is a few feet below full, then absolutely.

The worst landscape camera ever, a Canon 7D haha. Just kidding, mostly, but landscape is definitely the 7D's weakness. I plan to either get a 6D mkII or a Sony A7III later this year.

I received the spare handle and the 3 qt pot. Wow, such good quality.
This will be quite sufficient for the road trip.
Just gotta figure the best way to get the 2 handles into the kit.

I did a test, at the house, using egg whites. (Alert: I eat heart healthy after...)
Egg whites are a bit finicky in a pan if the heat is not even, so a good test subject.

The sides are a bit high but still work well enough. I am not serving in a restaurant.

Homemade wild sourdough bread I bake myself. Hard Red Spring Wheat.

Just a bunch of old crap
For the stove and cookset freaks like me, here's something I stumbled across that might be of interest.

    Keith titanium pressure cooker: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0E2LT1

I like that it has a lid that locks down to keep the contents inside. I'm curious if the inner cup is big enough to fit a small fuel canister. Inner dimensions of the inner cup say it's 93mm wide, and a 4oz fuel canister averages 89mm so it should just fit. This could be a great way to rehydrate some of my homemade dehydrated meals that seem to take forever to reconstitute. Especially dried chicken and many vegetables that usually have to soak for longer.

Not the lightest weight at 9oz, but still not bad. I usually shy from titanium cook pots because they are terrible at distributing heat evenly, but with a pressure cooker, that wouldn't matter near as much.
