I am not going near DC! actually going to Mobtown. If I leave Ashburn at 10am on Friday, will I hit all that traffic, on the way to Denton MD?

 

David you may want to rethink those plans as I have heard from many of the Secret Service and other agencies that there may be protest groups blocking 95,395,495 and many other highways on both inner and outer loops and 95 N and S.....getting into DC on Friday...

The perimeter of DC is not the place to be on Friday!

DC sucks in general, but bringing a city to a grinding halt for a protest is plain stupid. Tear gas bombs should be dropped on anyone who does this.

 

I agree on this, especially for an event such as the new prez coming in. If not, I feel like we just incite riots for these to be acceptable outside of designated areas.

Dont the protesters know that nothing is going to happen from them protesting? the guy is still going to get into office. People blocking roads, etc, doesnt do anything. It just makes life harder for everyone else. And if they didnt want the guy in office, then why didnt they do a better job of promoting the other guy, duriing the runner up months/years?

 

I am @ one of the White House check points nearest the Presidential and VIP viewing stands and we are expecting major issues I hope it doesn't happen but if it does it's going to be fun!!

Well, I am not sure they're not smart enough as they are being bused in for the protests. They are expecting upwards of 3500 bus loads of paid protesters from across the country....

 

I am camping out in the Building for 2 days....

 

Some people have the mindset that they alone have the power to do something about this sort of stuff in small groups. I think these things will continue for a little while with Trump coming in until he either proves he deserves the role and the nation believes it, or they simply stop caring anymore. Not saying I advocate one way or the other, but with the recent protests in everything, I too am shocked why these people need to get involved in this sort of way. Many times it leads to some sort of degree of violence that causes more harm then the message it seems.
