It's the best we could come up with. I didn't want anything harsh or droning.

I thought the clip sounded good, I expected a much different
sound from that setup on this truck. Nicely done man.

What do you think of the sound now that you have driven it for a while? Did you ever do a video driving it?

V6's sound like garbage w/ aftermarket exhaust! Don't be a dink! Keep it factory. You're not getting any more power. Just gonna have a nice truck that sounds like shit

It is a little louder than I was hoping for, but a lot of that can be just from the dump right under the bed. You don't know it unless you get on the gas, and I don't push the truck too much, so for my 15 minute commute it's not bad at all. I'm not bothered by it. I did just get my topper on and will put a bed rug in next, so will report after that. The topper my have decreased the decibels by 5.

I don't know what a dink is. V6's don't all sound like garbage, but it is definitely not a v8. I wish it was a deeper tone, but that's okay. You can't really get that from these engines.

And I don't really need more power. It has to downshift to get up and move, and that doesn't feel natural in a truck, but if this was a sports sedan, I would love the way it searches for the power band. I drove a 2008 chevy half ton yesterday with a 5.3 and I couldn't believe how sluggish that engine, with all its torque felt. But it was a smooth, steady, powerful sluggish.

The point of the muffler is to make the truck sound modified, to fit the look of the rest of the vehicle. It sounds tougher to the uninformed, so 98% of the population.

I totally agree that it is a nice truck, and it doesn't sound like excrement. There are some that are just too loud for regular, protracted use. But my goal here is for the truck to look and sound like a truck, not a Camry.

Thanks for the update. I will be doing the dump and a reroute of the crossover for ground clearance. I do not like the sound of the stock exhaust at all. I don't know what a dink is but I know what a dickhead is.

I think it is the most mellow aftermarket sound out there. I'm not building a trophy truck.
