Odometer Rolled Back?

    pretty sure the digital odo from 98+ cannot be tampered with. most likely it was replaced either by someone frying the original or replacing to try a fast one. original would have white face and tach so easy swap

    surprised no one caught the difference with mileage with those multiple issues on the registration?

    Ohh the odometer can be changed, you need to have the skillz to remove the EPROM from the cluster and have a setup to flash new information to it.

    Then in this day and age it could have been a simple data entry error .

    I deal with this every day funny how just one digit off in a Serial number can effect things

    Then computers are always correct

    Funny how I ended up with the 1989 Tacoma

    The mileage values were several digits off, so likely not a data entry error.

    Tacomas didn't exist in 1989, btw... Do you mean an 89 Pickup?

    I think he's pointing to the erroneous DMV paper work that would've turned his taco into an '89' tacoma, lol.
