So..

State Farm is paying me just shy of $30k for my 4 year old, 57k mile Tacoma that's totaled. $6k more that what I paid for it new.

Actually getting a couple hundred more than I expected, so it's a winning situation despite the completely mind fuck and stress of it all.

On a side note, wife veto'd the F150 for now - so I'm shopping for a turd gen. DCLB SR5 V6 with tow package.

It'll be a temporary, not long term vehicle as it's too small for my family's space needs, but in the mean time (until she's comfortable with me spending F150 money), the longer bed and tow package will give me more space. The whole situation is a bit weird, but in the end, she's not comfortable with the price of the F150 quite yet, as we're bringing in another baby - so sinking my newfound chunk of change into a low depreciation vehicle is as good of an investment I can make and still keep myself on the road. Hoping it yields me a good trade in or sale when she okay's the F150 purchase, and then I'm dancing my happy ass into the Ford dealer and spending monays.

Yeah. Me too. Gonna miss that on the next upgrade, Ford has a bit of a different depreciation rate.
