    So my only real option right now is the SoloXL as I don't want to add an extension then put the Hitchgate into that.

    Well that stinks. I guess when my Wilco Rpx mount arrives, I'll be drilling it to accept the Rotopax mount without the base plate.

    I will never run over more than leaves with my truck, so the extra clearance in the hitch area means nothing to me. So enjoy :D
