    For a rookie it is!

Well I just keep having it in my head, especially if I stay in my city about that. I remember the chief speaking about our local fallen officer Blake Snyder. That he didn't graduate the academy until he was 28 and that he didn't know why he decided on his career at such an age.
That just keeps sticking in my head.

At least I work a sorta cop type deal in my job now. Just not exactly what i'd like to be doing. If I stick with university public safety I need to go to a big 'ol state school like Mizzou. I'd actually have some real stuff to do other than unlock doors for the faculty members who lost their keys..... Or like tonight, where the poor fire dept came out for a bad smoke detector that set off the entire building and we scrambled around to find which one was doing it. Such a waste of their time.

I have been intermittently doing weight training and cardio. I'm still trying to kick bad habits or I would have reached my goals a long time ago. I've gotten better and have continually lost weight, just not at the speed I'd like. I have about 70lbs more to go to be out of the obese range.

27 definitely isn't too old to start, not like you haven't been doing something similar all along. About 10 years ago I went from 319 to 170 and went through the Academy; it's definitely doable if your heart is in it. Unfortunately, night shift has brought back some bad habits and it's slowly creeping back up. Before our son was born this past summer I made a promise to my wife that I'll be able to run around with our little man so a new training regiment has started.

Again, if you set your mind to it you can definitely succeed.
As the great Wayne Gretzky once said: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I know what your thinking, but it wouldn't work, I'm to old for you. I was born when JFK was president.

Lol wasn't thinking that way at all. You were going on about going into the academy. Something told me you were older. Figured there was some type of age cap.

I got 265/75/16 simply because they gave me a better deal on those than 245/75s difference of around $25-30/tire. I'm typically a duratrac guy but they were significantly more expensive. The 10ply will affect mileage but we'll see. I just got them yesterday and haven't been on hwy yet as I take back roads to work. Maybe I'll take the highway tonight.
Anything was better than the stock shit in the snow/slush; gives the truck a whole different feel. Best deal around now is BJs wholesale if you have those up there; I went with town fair due to In-stock availability.

It was on the radar when I had my 6 month cleaning done...but my love for ranch flavored cornnuts did it in.

So..just going to continue taking antibiotics until the swelling goes down and hope the pain meds keep it in check till I can get it extracted.

Meanwhile, after 3 days off, im back tonight with 12 hr shifts and working sat.
    Thx for askin.

those corn-nuts are killer I like the jalapeno ones. I stopped eating them when my dentist hygienist told me how bad they can be for my teeth.

So, as it turns out, the reason my neighbors house burned down is becuase the Synthetic LSD plant and Indoor Pot farm caught fire. I'm just surprised it wasn't a Heroin plant, we have a huge problem with that in MD. That also explains why they got so upset the one day I parked near thier fence.
