Any tips/tricks to getting this done. I bought the yellow Lamin-X a while ago and just haven't gotten around to it. The 'kit' I bought is just a square flat piece rolled up on a tube so I'm assuming i'll need a heat gun/blow dryer to get it to curve around the lens?

It's a pain in the ass. BUT to preface that, I was using a hair dryer. I made my own LED headlight for my motorcycle out of an old 1930 (I think) headlight bucket from a car. I found a lens that fits from a tractor supply since the old bulb was a sealed beam. I wanted to put red laminex on the lens. it ended up looking pink when I turned the light on and I couldn't fully get the wrinkles out from the lens being curved. Again, I used a hair dryer and had a roll of the film, so I wasn't worried about waste.

EDIT: use a heat gun, not a hair dryer.

Not what I did, but what I am going to do...these arrived in the mail today to replace my stock rears. Install coming Friday or Saturday.

Did just get an oil change, rotation, and brakes last Saturday.

:D It's one of my favorite pics of the front end.
The kit should have been round pieces. At least mine was! For putting it on, you can pop out the surrounding bezel to make it easier. Just pull straight out.

Well...maybe. Might want to consider Apex Fabworks. No giant gap between the bezel and the LED pods, and can be had in either amber or white...and the ambers don't look amber until they're on, so the are a bit stealthier if you are concerned about being pulled over.

Eh I don't like the square look of the pods, plus I have a bumper on order I could care less about gaps. An I'm just talking light proformance.
I'm not worried about being pulled over either AZ is a pretty relaxed state. My ambers are on 24/7 when the trucks on atleast.
To each their own though! That's what makes my truck mine an yours yours

Finally got around to installing the Hurst short shifter my wife bought me for Xmas. Their site claims a 30% reduction in throw, but it feels like a lot more. Very solid and precise. Thing feels more like my Miata (which also has an SS) than it does the OEM shifter.

Also installed a GPS tracker from GPS&Track. Neighborhood has had a couple of car thefts recently, so decided that it was worth the price. Plus, it gives me an excuse to install some new electronic toy.
