We had two of these brutes running today


Got all 215 rebar embedment holes drilled today in 7 hours of pouring rain bliss




Start on cutting and grouting in the rebar uprights tomorrow morning

 

That's a hundred dollar bit , at that length.

 

It was a bit more than that IIRC

 

Seen the new ones with the vac attachment

 

BTW....HILTI is the only real hammer drill. I own and use them all the time.

 

New sectional, sofa table, end table and cube.

 

I used an electric demo saw with that,for a job...worked great!

Not my drill though , drill is rented , bits I own , I rented the drills for the day , I don't own an SDS MAX drill

 

It's amazing at how expensive even hand tools can get. A laborer at our job ran over a tape with the high reach forklift and cut it in half. Guy was freaking out about losing his job. I was surprised until I learned it was a 400 dollar tape measure I was using. It's a Lufkin 200' stainless Steele tape reel.

 

I added up the cost of my tool inventory for my commercial insurance and it was pretty jaw dropping

 

Recommend the Kwikset with universal key so instead of paying $50 to change door handle and deadbolt you use the universal key to just rekey the existing hardware.

 

But at least you can write it off or depreciate it. Or have been.

Yup, upfront cost is a bitch. But, you gotta admit, once you own good tools. There is no going back. I remember my first real miter saw purchase...what a difference.
